Kia ora, I am Chelsee Dovey. I am in my first year of training at Te Tari Puna O Aotearoa (New Zealand Childcare Association). I have been working in early childhood for 3 ½ years.
Ever since I was a child, it was my dream to work in early childhood. I am truly passionate and enthusiastic about working with the tamariki; nurturing, teaching and having fun as they learn and grow.

I have 3 teenage children which I attended Playcentre with when they were young; this is when I realized I had enthusiasm and compassion for teaching young children. I have been in this profession for 13 years.
I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for playing instruments and singing with the tamariki.

I taught gymnastics to ages 4yrs – 17yrs old for 7 years. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of physically active skills with the children.

I have worked in the ECE field since I was 17 – just a couple of years.

I have a 24year old daughter and have lived all my life in Whangarei.
My passion in ECE is working with infants and toddlers. I really enjoy books and music experiences with children, and watching them grow and develop at their own pace.
